Cellulite Treatment

An injectable treatment for cellulite is here! The first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment for moderate to severe cellulite is now available! QWO is an injectable used to treat moderate to severe cellulite by releasing fibrous bands, redistributing fat cells, and stimulating the growth of new collagen.

During the treatment, your aesthetic specialist will inject QWO directly into the dimples using a small needle. Each treatment consists of three 30 minute appointments spaced 21 days apart.

What Is Cellulite?

Cellulite is a localized alteration in the contour of the skin that has been reported in approximately 90% of all adult women.

What Causes Cellulite?

There are three components that make up cellulite. Fat cells get larger, skin gets thinner and the fibrous bands underneath the skin's surface get thicker, pulling the area down and leading to the dimpled appearance. Skin laxity and cellulite may appear similar but are not the same. QWO does not treat skin laxity.

How Does QWO Work?

QWO targets the fibrous bands that tether the skin down trapping fat lobules which gives the skin a lumpy, dimpled appearance. QWO destroys the bands releasing the skin and fat lobules for a smoother appearance.

Who Gets Cellulite?

Women are more likely to develop cellulite than men due to men having thicker skin and their collagen bands orienting in a different fashion. Women of all shapes, sizes, ages, and races are affected by cellulite.

Are Fat & Cellulite The Same?

Fat is not cellulite and does not cause it. However, fat getting bigger between the fibrous bands under the skin can contribute to the bumpy appearance.

Can Weight Loss Get Rid Of Cellulite?

Weight loss may reduce the appearance of cellulite but will not get rid of it completely. In some instances, weight loss may cause skin laxity which makes the cellulite appear more severe. To address cellulite, you must address the fibrous bands under the skin's surface.
